Dilawar: 1cr Women Yet To Get Phones: Bjp Mla | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Ramganj Mandi MLA Madan Dilawar has accused the state government of cheating 1.33 crore women by making false promise of giving them smartphones with three-year free data.
During a debate on budget session on Tuesday, Dilawar informed the House that the scheme was launched in the budget 2022-23 is yet to see the light of day. “Where have the mobile phones gone? Whenever we go to the villages, women ask us when we will get the mobile phones? They have cheated these women and the announcement was made only to create the hype,” said Dilawar.
He raised the issue of not fulfilling the promise made to the Pulwama Martyr Hemraj Meena’s wife Madhubala by CM Ashok Gehlot of constructing Meena’s statue in the native village.
“Madhubala ji is forced to go on an indefinite protest and I would like to clarify that if the government does not fulfil the promise, I will join the martyr’s family till the demand is met,” said Dilawar.
He questioned budgetary announcements of giving 2,000 units of free electricity to farmers as none of the farmers or villages is receiving 2,000 units per supply of power in a month.
“Last year, the chief minister had announced to give eight hours of electricity during the day in the rural areas which was never fulfilled,” said Dilawar. tnn
