Passengers: 3 Held For Drinking In Train After Aap Leader’s Tweet | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Three train passengers were arrested in Nagaur district on Monday for allegedly consuming alcohol and misbehaving with passengers after a leader of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) travelling in the train tweeted about the incident.
Gayatri Bishnoi, president of AAP’s women wing in Rajasthan, alleged in a post on X early on Monday morning that some passengers in a train she was travelling in were drinking liquor and that there were no RPF or GRPF personnel on the train when she wanted to complain.
“Not only women passenger, but no passenger is safe. It is very shocking that at 1 o’ clock in the night, some miscreants are openly harassing the passengers in the train by consuming alcohol and abusing the passengers,” wrote Bishnoi in a post on X. She also posted a video in the post and further said, “When I tried to complain, I found there was not even a single RPF/GRPF personnel deployed in the entire train… Police came an hour after I complained through the TTE. Meanwhile the miscreants had been threatening me. I stood firm throughout the matter with the help of helpful passengers till police arrived. But if an untoward incident had occurred during this one hour, who would have been responsible for it?”
Bishnoi’s post was widely shared on X, garnering 1.1 million views, 16,000 likes and 8,000 retweets by Monday evening. It led to North Western Railway (NWR) instruct its officials concerned to look into the matter. tnn
