Jaipur: Around 15 private hospitals in Jaipur set up on land taken on concessional rates from the government are likely to be in the ambit of the Right to Health (RTH) Act, but officials said the figure could change. Hospitals run by private medical colleges will also provide benefits to people under the new law, said officials.
The principal secretary of medical education department, T Ravikanth, said the list of private hospitals covered under the RTH Act is still being drawn up with the help of the urban development and housing, local self-governance and revenue departments along with other government agencies. The government has started collecting the records of hospitals. TNN
