Sikh: Gehlot Okays Sikh Welfare Board In Raj | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved the formation of Guru Nanak Dev Sikh Welfare Board in the state on the occasion of Baisakhi on Friday.
The minority affairs department issued a notification regarding the formation of the board, which will execute work for socioeconomic and cultural uplift of the Sikh community in Rajasthan.
The board will propose schemes for the Sikh community’s uplift and offer advice on promotion of their employment. The board will also give suggestions on better implementation of welfare schemes for the Sikh community and on promotion of the community’s art and culture. The board will also suggest ways to modernize the traditional businesses of the community. tnn
