Boxer: Boxer Functioned Like Ceo Of Firm Specialising In Extorting Businessmen, Claims Jaipur Police | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Ritik Thakurani, known as Ritik Boxer in the world of crime, worked like the chief executive of a company specialising in extortion. The moment his bosses Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Anmol Bishnoi of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang made an extortion call, Boxer swung into action.
From hiring shooters to alluring juveniles into the crime world, Boxer ensured that those who received extortion calls were well and truly intimidated.
TOI spoke to senior police officers who analysed the crime pattern that emerged in the eight cases of extortion calls received by businessmen and traders in the past four months in Jaipur. It was based on this analysis that they found incriminating evidence against Boxer and a clear idea of his role in the whole nexus.
“He was in touch with some boys working in gyms to get details of big businessmen and traders who were members of these gyms. He used to pass on their numbers to Rohit Godara and others like Anmol Bishnoi of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. After an extortion call was made, Boxer hired shooters and at times told them to open fire, as was done at a private club at Jawahar Circle,” said Kailash Bishnoi, additional commissioner of police (crime).
Ram Singh, additional deputy commissioner of police (west), who was instrumental in collecting important information on Boxer, says the arrest of Boxer is a big breakthrough in breaking the chain of extortion in Jaipur.
“Gangsters like Rohit Godara or others may yet call some businessman, but we have damaged their execution part of threatening or intimidating the businessman,” Singh said.
According to the police, Boxer first came into contact with Sampat Nehra and Rohit Godara during his stint in a jail in Bikaner. “We can say that Boxer was mainly the manager in the extortion racket. He used to give the numbers of prominent people for extortion and later he arranged shooters by contacting them through social media and other platforms to allure them into the world of crime,” Singh said.
“It was futile for him to stay in Nepal for long. Since November 2022, at least 12 extortion calls were made by Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar and Anmol Bishnoi to various businessmen but in none of the cases was the money given. Boxer became restless and wanted to come to Jaipur to organise another firing or another way of intimidating these businessmen,” said ACP Bishnoi.
