Pilot To Hold Series Of Public Meetings In State From Today | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot will hold public meetings in many districts from Monday.
These meetings are scheduled ahead of assembly session starting from January 23. After meeting senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Punjab during Bharat Jodo Yatra on Wednesday, as per the plan, Pilot will be addressing Kissan Sammelan in Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu and Pali from January 16-19, with an aim to strengthen the party’s image. Popular among the youth, Pilot will also be addressing students meet in Jaipur on January 20.
Sachin Pilot released his schedule and tweeted “I will be among the people and workers in various districts of Rajasthan.”
He will be addressing the first public meeting – ‘Kissan Sammelan’ in Parbatsar area of Nagaur district on January 16. Following this on January 17, a meeting will be organised in Pilibanga (Hanumangarh), Guddha (Jhunjhunu) on January 18, Sadri town of Pali on January 19 and a student union meet in Jaipur on January 20.
Sources said, Pilot camp in the ruling Congress is aggressively preparing for these public meetings for the last two weeks. A Congress worker in Jhunjhunu said, “Thousands of supporters are expected to gather at these meetings as efforts are ongoing to make this event as a major show of strength and sending across a message of party’s popularity among the masses,”
The state government is also holding two-day Chintan Shivir in Jaipur to review progress of schemes and budget announcement. The meeting will be chaired by CM Ashok Gehlot, and all ministers and officials will be present at OTS campus.
In the Shivir (camp), each minister will be giving a presentation of department’s progress report, which will include policy and plans, and what they are looking ahead. They will also be suggesting innovations for respective departments.
