Minor Girl, Mom Rescued In Kota, Three Booked | Jaipur News

Kota: Activists of Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) with the help of the city police rescued a 17-year-old girl and her mother, residents of Jharkhand, from a house in Premnagar Affordable Society under Udhyog Nagar police station area on Thursday.
“The duo was held hostage and negotiation by touts was underway to get the minor married for Rs 5 lakh,” said police.
Police lodged a case against three persons for human trafficking and sent the minor to juvenile home and her mother to women’s shelter home and began further investigation in the matter.
“A 17-year-old minor girl, hailing from Giridih district in Jharkhand, and her mother were rescued,” said Manish Sharma, director of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, who was part of police rescue team.
“The duo was held hostage and negotiation by touts was underway to get the minor married for Rs 5 lakh,” said police.
