Kota: To keep Bundi and the district neat and clean, the administration has decided to reward whistleblowers who provide information about people who dump garbage in public places with their pictures. The fine charged from the offender would be would be given as reward to the whistleblower.
Those, who make considerable contribution to the cleanliness campaign will also be felicitated on Independence Day with certificates. Besides, footage of CCTV cameras, installed in the city and being monitored at the Abhay Command Centre, would be examined daily to find out and identify people who dump garbage anywhere and fines would be imposed upon them accordingly.
Initially, they (administration) appealed people and traders in the markets to keep their respective areas clean and not to dump waste in public places, Bundi district collector Ravindra Goswami said. The fines, charged from those throwing garbage in public places, will be given as reward to those who inform the administration of the people who litter public places, he said.
Goswami appealed to people to keep at least 10 square-foot area around them neat and clean and to pick up garbage by themselves and dump it in a proper proper place.
