Girl Drowns In Pond: Tragic Incident: Girl Drowns in Pond in Kota | Jaipur News

KOTA: A 15-year-old girl studying in Class 10 allegedly jumped into the Kishore Sagar pond in Kota on Monday evening. The life guards deployed there pulled her out and rushed her to hospital but doctors declared her as brought dead.
The deceased girl was identified as Divya Meena, resident of Nayagaun area, currently living with her maternal uncle in Pragati Nagar.
The girl had left for coaching at 4pm on Monday but did not return home, following which a search was started, Divya’s maternal uncle Rakesh Meena told media on Tuesday morning outside the mortuary where her body was kept for postmortem.She was reportedly seen with two neighboring boys, he said, adding that he submitted a report of this to Nayapura police station.
SHO at Nayapura police station Harish Choudhary said that investigation will ascertain whether the minor jumped or slipped into the pond. He said the body was handed over to family members after postmortem on Tuesday.

DNA of aborted foetus helps nail girls uncle for rape
A 50-year-old Andheri resident was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Dindoshi sessions court for repeatedly raping his 19-year-old niece. The accused was convicted under relevant IPC sections after the Pocso charges were dropped due to an ossification test. The judge dismissed the defence’s claim that the absence of injuries on the victim’s private parts disproved the rape allegations. The DNA of the aborted fetus matched that of the accused. The accused was also fined Rs 35,000 and the judgment will be forwarded for compensation under the Manodhairya Scheme.
