Showers, Dust Storm Hit Parts Of Raj, Bikaner Hottest At 44.2°c | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Mild showers and dust storms brought some pleasant change in the weather on Sunday evening at many places in the state. However, Bikaner remained hottest in the state where a maximum temperature of 44.2°C was recorded, the Met reports said.
Attributing the climatic change to active western disturbances, Jaipur Met office stated that dust storms and mild showers would be witnessed in some parts of eastern and western Rajasthan.
People in Jaipur woke up to a warmer morning as a minimum temperature of 26.8°C was recorded. It was followed by a cloudy and dusty afternoon when a maximum temperature of 41.8°C was recorded. In the evening, dust storms were witnessed at many places which were followed by scattered rainfall.
The Jaipur Met office stated that from Tuesday Jaipur is likely to witness further rise in its maximum temperature. In the coming week Jaipur is likely to see its maximum temperature touching 44.0°C.
In the evening many places in the state including Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur and some parts in Sikar, Dausa, Jaipur and Jhunjhunu witnessed high velocity winds and mild showers. Due to sudden change in the weather abrupt power cuts were witnessed at many places in the state.
Ongoing spell of heat waves has also aggravated the drinking water crisis at many places in the state. At several districts people are at loggerheads with the local district administration and officials of the Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) demanding timely supply of the drinking water.
Bikaner was followed by Karauli where a maximum temperature of 44.0°C, Churu 43.9, holpur 43.9, Pilani 43.7, Kota 43.6, Jaisalmer 43.5, Phalodi 42.8, Sriganganagar 42.6 Bhilwara 42.2, Jodhpur 41.8 and a maximum temperature of 40.6°C was recorded in Sikar.
