ED Raids: Ed Raids Rampant To Harass Cong Leaders, Says Gehlot | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday repeated the charge that just as locusts from the neighbouring country enter the state, the ED team from the Centre is continuously raiding Congress leaders in the state.
He said, “The house of state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra has been raided without any case, notices have been given to both the sons of Dotasra, alleged Gehlot.RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot has also been called for questioning again,” said Gehlot.
Gehlot was speaking after the filing of nomination of Sushila Dudi from Nokha on Thursday.
Many senior leaders of both Congress and BJP filed their nominations on Thursday. BJP leaders Satish Poonia from Amer, and Archana Sharma from Malviya Nagar were among those filed the nomination on Thursday.
The chief minister charged, “Several accused in economic offences in the country are sitting abroad but ED could not bring them back. This indicates that the lethality of ED has reduced. We want strengthening of ED. Economic fugitives should be caught, but today ED is being misused against political rivals. This trend is visible in all the states ruled by the opposition,” alleged the chief minister.
He said that Rameshwar Dudi has always been a dedicated leader of the farmers. He has always raised issues related to farmers prominently in his political career. He said that unfortunately Dudi lost the 2018 elections, otherwise he would have joined the state government cabinet.
Gehlot said that if Dudi who suffered a stroke recently was healthy, he would have played an important role in the elections. His wife, Sushila Dudi, has agreed to contest the elections from his assembly constituency.
The chief minister said that in 2014, the then UPA government was defeated by making all kinds of false allegations of corruption and scams as part of a conspiracy. Today there is no discussion of those so-called scams anywhere now, he said.
