BSP: Open To Having Alliance With Bsp, Btp; Not Cong, Bjp, Says Beniwal |

Jaipur: Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) chief and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal on Sunday announced that his party would launch a “Satta Sankalp Yatra” with the motto of “Vyavastha Parivartan Ke Liye” (‘for changing the system’) on September 28 from Salasar Balaji temple in Churu. He also said that “the doors of RLP are open for Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) and Bharatiya Adivasi Party (BAP) to stitch a pre-poll alliance” for the assembly elections, but not for the Congress or the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
“Many parties of NDA and INDIA alliances are also in touch with me. I am trying my best to forge an alliance (in the state). Parties like BSP and others are in contact with me. If we come together, it will be a formidable force. Other parties and individuals who have a support base and are unhappy with bigger parties are also in contact with us,” he said and added, “If there is no tie-up with any political party, our party will contest in all the 200 seats.”
On a possible alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), he said, “They are my friends, but I haven’t spoken to them on the issue of a tie-up.” “Our yatra will cover 150 to 200 assembly constituencies in Rajasthan. The roadmap for the yatra will be released soon. We will try to capture power this time, as without power the system doesn’t change. We want to ensure that both the parties (BJP and Congress) are defeated. We are already a third front in the state,” he said.
Beniwal said he would submit documents to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Congress and BJP leaders who helped the bajri (gravel) mafia flourish in the state. “Vasundhara Raje helped the bajri mafia flourish and Ashok Gehlot gave them protection,” he said.
He claimed that PM Narendra Modi feared the RLP and that was why he was repeatedly visiting Rajasthan.
On the women’s reservation bill, he said, “They brought (BJP) the women’s reservation bill, but also put a rider stating that the reservation will be implemented after the Census and delimitation. What was the need to pass it now? I asked them in Parliament, when will they implement women’s reservation? They should give us a timeframe, whether it is 2033, 2047, 2052 or 2056. If they were so concerned about women’s reservation, they should have brought the bill in 2014. All parties were on the same page then. The BJP has a habit of making jumlas (catchphrases). Prime Minister Narendra Modi should immediately announce the number of women candidates, and OBCs among them, who will be given tickets for the Lok Sabha elections (at least 115 seats). That will send out a message to the country.”
He said that the RLP will give most of its election tickets to women and youth.
“I am the only MP from Rajasthan who raises issues of the state with the Centre. The rest 24 BJP MPs only get scolding from Modi ji. We want to ensure that Rajasthan is free of crimes against women, fear, unemployment, corruption, farmers’ suicides, and toll tax,” he said.
