Jaipur: The city airport recorded a footfall of nearly 4.7 lakh in March, officials said on Tuesday.
Officials said almost 40,782 international passengers and around 4,32,714 domestic passengers travelled through the airport. With approximately 4,73,496 passengers travelling in March, the figure is 18.3% higher than the numbers in March 2022 and 2.6% higher than numbers in March 2019.
“Out of the overall passenger count in March, Jaipur airport witnessed 92% domestic passenger traffic and the rest 8% were international travellers. With an average footfall on 15,274 passengers and 64 flights per day, Jaipur airport hopes to be consistent and increase the growth momentum steadily. This rise in travellers was due to a strong surge in marriages, events and the holiday season,” said an official spokesperson of the Jaipur International Airport.
Airport officials said that Dubai, Sharjah and Muscat held the spot as the top three international destinations from Jaipur, whereas Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru continue to retain their position as the top three domestic destinations.
