Police Bust Gang Of Fake Escort Service | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A gang involved in a fraudulent escort service with the intent to rob people was busted by the Jaipur police. The leader of the gang revealed that he had once fallen victim to robbery by a fraudulent escort service provider in Chandigarh three years ago, which later lured him into the criminal trade.
The modus operandi of the gang members involved contacting clients after sharing images of women and then blackmailing and robbing them.
A police official stated that the gang leader, Jitendra Yadav, alias Jeetu (24), a resident of Boraj, Jobner, has been arrested. Besides, Deepak (26), a resident of Jaitpura (Phulera), Anil Yadav (24), a resident of Renwal (Jaipur), Ajay Meena (19), a resident of Shyosinghpura (Phulera), and Mukesh Yadav (26), a resident of Boraj (Jobner) have also been arrested.
Police have recovered the vehicle and more than six mobile SIM cards from the possession of the accused. The interrogation of the accused is ongoing.
An official said, “The teams sprang into action after all the accused had committed a robbery on an elderly man on September 21. Based on the CCTV footage, a search was initiated for the culprits. The police team conducted a raid and arrested five culprits, including the kingpin.”
The investigation revealed that the kingpin, Jitendra Yadav, had created around 12 websites on social media to offer escort services. Photos of girls were posted on these sites. “Those who contacted through the website were promised escort services. They would then be asked to meet at a deserted place in the dark of night, where they were beaten and robbed, ”said the official.
On September 21, the gang had robbed a person who had come from Gujarat. The individual had come from Gujarat to enroll his son in an MBBS programme and was staying in a hotel near Jawahar Circle. The victim had obtained the contact numbers of these individuals online and had inquired about escort services. In response, the culprits brought a woman and, upon seeing the gold chain, watch, and mobile phone around the victim’s neck, they assaulted him. The accused fled after robbing the elderly man of a gold chain, bracelet, Rs 25,000 in cash, and a mobile phone.
During the initial interrogation, the accused disclosed that they had committed crimes with dozens of people so far. However, victims refrained from reporting the incidents due to the fear of being defamed, which emboldened the gang. “There are two female members in the gang, and their arrests will be made soon,” the official added.”
