Jaipur: The enforcement wing of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on Monday demolished four upcoming colonies in Sanganer under the jurisdiction of zone 14 of the civic body. Officials said these colonies were coming up on farmlands without land use conversion papers.
The JDA team first demolished an upcoming colony on a land measuring around 4 bigha in Shyampura Buhariya village. The second colony that was destroyed was coming up in Mohanpura villages on around 2 bighas. The third colony was coming up in Fatehpura village on 4 bigha and another demolished colony was coming up on a 7 bigha land in Vatika village in Sanganer.
“Since 2019 we have initiated a zero-tolerance policy against illegal upcoming residential colonies. Since January 2019 we have demolished 703 such illegal new residential colonies till date,” said Raghuveer Saini, chief of JDA’s enforcement wing.
