Joshi Slams Cong For Opposing Ucc | Jaipur News
Jaipur: State BJP president C P Joshi on Sunday advocated for Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the country and said PM Narendra Modi’s government was keen on upholding the ethos of the Constitution that guarantees equal rights for all citizens.
“How can a dual system run in the country? The country can never be developed by appeasement and vote bank politics. The core idea behind the move for UCC is to uplift all sections of the society,” said Joshi at a press conference held at BJP’s state headquarters here.
Accusing the Congress of opposing the UCC move, Joshi said, “Some parties do not know the mood of the country’s people. They had also protested the abrogation of Article 370 and the decision on One Nation One Tax. But PM Modi works on the principle of nation first.”
Commenting on the state BJP’s freshly formed executive committee, Joshi said the new team is experienced, energetic and inclusive. “The team has been given the task of working unitedly with a commitment to success in the upcoming elections,” he said.
Former state BJP president Satish Poonia said CM Gehlot did not implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Rajasthan and instead implemented “an ill-planned scheme” named Chiranjeevi.
